SAFEGUARDING
SAFEGUARDING
Here at Anerley Team Ministry, we are committed to safeguarding children, young people and vulnerable adults, and this is the responsibility of everyone who participates in the life of the church.
Our Parish is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We adhere to the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO) (see below “A Safer Church”). Our Diocese’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. We also refer to the National Church’s Parish Safeguarding Handbook for advice on responding to concerns.
If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor [details below]. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services.
Our Parochial Church Council (PCC) has adopted the Church of England’s policies and best practice on safeguarding.
